Traveling can be hectic. Unfortunately, many individuals make their vacations or journeys harder than they need to be by committing some of the more common traveling mistakes. It’s important to avoid these errors, which can occur during the planning, booking, and actual traveling stages of your journey.
The Internet is an amazing invention that is tailor made for the travel industry! So take advantage of all the information at your disposal and be sure to read reviews about your destination and possible accommodations. Review sites can help you find lower-priced gems that offer good service at the right price point. Many travelers ignore bad reviews, with the hope that they represent complainers, or they feel that their experience won’t be awful. If you see 500 reviews for a property and 300 are for 2 stars, then you have a red flag that should be heeded!
2. Don’t wait until the last minute to book a trip or hotel room
Many travelers wait too long to book a trip, either because of procrastination or the desire to save cash. Contrary to popular opinion, hotels and especially airlines usually have better deals in advance than last-minute deals. Booking a flight a few days before a trip can result in not only a higher price, but an undesirable routing. Need another reason why procrastination doesn’t pay? Flash sales. Companies like Getaroom offer limited-time offer sales that expire in 12 or 24 hours. When you see such a deal, do some quick research and then book it!
3. Do fly on Tuesdays and Saturdays if you want to save money
Departing on Saturdays or Tuesdays can significantly drop the airline cost as demand is typically considerably lower on these days. You also don’t need to book your flight as a round trip on the same airline. Flights are now structured as one-way, so you should consider jumping carriers if the price is right unless you focus on racking up miles with one airline.
4. Look beyond national brands for a hotel room
When choosing a hotel, many travelers make the error of only looking at the national brands. Considering all of your options is a good tactic, as independent hotels need to work harder to compete, and might offer additional services with the room rate.
5. Remember all the extra fees and taxes on your hotel room or vacation rental
Another item to consider when booking a hotel is to get a clear picture of all the related resort fees and taxes. These fees can end up being up to $30 or $40 a night on top of the regular room rate.
6. Consider booking two rooms rather than a suite
Need enough room for a big family? Consider booking two rooms instead of looking for a suite. Most suites are only fractionally bigger than the standard room and often require a substantial increase in cost. Two connecting rooms offer more space and also some measure of privacy if you are traveling with older children.

Hi this is somewhat of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually
code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding skills so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
